This is a list of the phases of building that I have completed since 11-20-1008 when I started.  It took me almost 1 year to finish.  Now if you plan on building on of these you should first know it is not going to be a cheap hobby.  In most cases you are going to look at spending 7 to 12 thousand dollars.  Unless you have a lot of toy to sell like I did.  I ended up selling my old truck, ATV and golf cart.  with the money I got from this I bought or made everything I needed.  Having a lathe & mill will save you a ton of money.  

Training

Oh one other thing and could be the most important thing.  If you are going to do this make sure you get some on hands training.  It is going to cost you about $100.00 to $180.00 per hour and make sure the instructor does his job and teaches you what you need to know.  I had about 13 hours in when I took to the skies.  I had the aircraft built before I started training so this helped me to go through to get it done.   I did served in the U.S. Army and my job title was a 67Y20 Attack Helicopter repairman on the AH-1S Cobra tank destroyer I learned a lot about helicopters and a gyrocopter is not to far from this.

• Phase 2   Axle Strut Assembly  ( Axle struts, Airframe brackets, Saddle fittings & Strut assembly )      

• Phase 3   Main gear mount  ( Axle drag struts, Lap belt end fittings, Main gear mounting )     `               

• Phase 4   Main gear shock struts ( Temporary shock plate, upper strut fitting and main gear V-strut )

• Phase 5   Front wheel  ( Building the nose block & Front fork assembly )                                                                

• phase 6   Engine Mounts (Engine cheek plates, mounts, support mount and V supports )                          

• Phase 7   Seat tank   ( Mounting & Installing the fuel tank )                                                                                        

• Phase 8   Rubber pedals  ( Rudder pedals and Linkages )                                                                            

• Phase 9   Electrical/ wiring  ( Installing wires)                                                                                           

• Phase 10   Flight Controls  ( Flight controls stick, Tail boom and tail group )                                          

• Phase 11   Cheek plate  ( Rotor head cheek plates)                                                                                      

• Phase 12   Rudder cables  ( Routing and installing the cables )                                                                                   

• phase 13   Seat belts ( Installing and placement )                                                                         

• Phase 14   Engine mounting and Rear fuel tank ( Installing the engine )                                                              

• Phase 15   Control rods and trim spring  ( Milling parts and building a trim spring )

• Phase 16   Throttle and console ( Setting up the throttle on the console ) 

• Phase 17   Electrical and Misc. ( Hooking up the instrument pod and other items )
