This where I have hunted since 1990 The property is 270.30 acres big and has been in the family since 1930 when my Grandfather paid $3,500.00 for it. Not a whole lot for the day and time is it. Most of the property is Farm land, with 115.0 acres of woodlands that was clear cut back in 1997. This photo here was taken in 2006. But when the property was clear cut we were able to go in and make 5 different food plots spread through out the woods. It helps to have small food plots but you must have a couple of big ones as well. The food plots we have planted are on the photo's as small white dots. We have one that is called the Pea Patch. This food plot we keep planted all year long, weather it be cow peas or wheat, rape & oats. It also helps to have a few salt block a different places. On the off season We place corn feeders up to help the deer stay near by and on our property. The farmer does help out some time by planting peanuts, corn & wheat in the farming fields but mostly it Cotton that were he makes his money. My dad make cane syrup to sell and long with fresh eggs.
